Britain loves beef.

That’s why all of ours is born and bred in Northumberland. To celebrate this rich red meat, we pull out all the stops. Enjoy arrival drinks and canapés, then indulge in 5 courses showcasing the beef at its best. That’s not all – learn more about the all-important provenance of your dishes too.

Farmer Ian will be travelling down from our farm in Matfen to tell you all about how our cows are hand-reared on acres of naturally-fertilised land. In-house butcher Claus will deliver a butchery demonstration while telling you more about our on-site hanging room and finally, Head Chef Jason Wild will talk you through the dishes he’s created for the evening.

This is the perfect chance to entertain or just to learn more about our ‘gate to plate’ ethos.

The evening starts with a selection of canapés served before the talks. This is followed by the Dinner menu below:

All beef is sourced from our Corneyside Farm.

Beef carpaccio, watercress, Parmesan dressing

Short Rib bourguignon, pancetta, baby onions, woodland mushrooms

Josper-grilled Sirloin, shoe string fries, Rotunda steak sauce

Slow-cooked beef fillet, snail and shrimp chowder, spinach purée

Pear and almond crumble, lavender scented custard
